¸¹Àº ºÐµéÀÌ Çѱ¹ÀÇ À°¼ºÈ¸Á¤µµ·Î »ý°¢À» ÇÒ ¼öµµ ÀÖ´Â boards of trustees(ÁÙ¿©¼, BOTs)¿Í Çб³¿¡¼ Á¾Á¾ ÇлýµéÀ» ÅëÇÑ fundraising(±â±Ý¸ð±Ý)ÀÌ ¿Ö ÀÌ·ç¾îÁö°í ÀÖ´ÂÁö¿¡ ´ëÇØ¼ Marian¼±»ý´Ô¿¡°Ô ¹®ÀǸ¦ ÇÏ¿´¾ú´Ù. ´ÙÀ½Àº ±× ³»¿ëÀ» ¹ø¿ªÇÑ °ÍÀ¸·Î ÀÌÇØ¸¦ µ½±âÀ§ÇØ ¿ø¹®µµ °°ÀÌ °ÔÀ縦 ÇÏ¿´´Ù.
Çб³´Â BOT¿¡ ÀÇÇØ¼ ¿î¿µµÈ´Ù. BOT´Â 6¸íÀÇ Çкθð´ëÇ¥, ±³Àå°ú ¼±»ý´ëÇ¥¸¦ ¼±ÃâÇÏ°Ô µÇ´Â µ¥(°íµîÇб³ÀÇ °æ¿ì´Â Çлý´ëÇ¥µµ ¼±Ãâ),

Schools are administered by BOTs.
They are elected parent representatives (6) , the Principal of the school. and a teacher rep.(in High schools also a student rep)
elections are held in Feb/march each year. parent reps must have children attending the school or be about to start the school.
The BOT manages the finances of the school.Governmant gives the schools operational grants each year.
±×·¯³ª ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ ±³À°µéÀ» ¾î¶»°Ô ½ÃÇàÇÏ´À³Ä´Â ÀüÀûÀ¸·Î BOT¿¡ ´Þ·ÁÀÖ´Â µ¥, °¡·É ½ºÆ÷Ã÷Àåºñº¸´Ù´Â ÄÄÇ»Åͱ³À°¿¡ ´õ ºñÁßÀ» µÐ´ÙµçÁö ÇÏ´Â °ÍµéÀÌ ±× ¿¹°¡ µÇ°Ú´Ù.
BOT´Â Á¤ºÎ·Î ºÎÅÍ ¹ÞÀº Áö¿ø±ÝÀ¸·Î Çб³¿¡ ÇÊ¿äÇÑ ¾î¶² Àåºñ¸¦ ±¸ÀÔÇÒ °ÍÀΰ¡¸¦ °áÁ¤ÇÏ°Ô µÇ´Â µ¥, Ç×»ó Çб³¿¡¼ ¿øÇÏ´Â ¹Ù ¸¸Å, ±¸ÀÔÇÒ ¼ö ¾ø´Â °æ¿ì°¡ ¸¹¾Æ,

They are also expected to be managers of curriculum - what gets taught in schools. There are of couse guidelines which they have to follow
and which the GOvt sets out - but how these get taught are up to BOTs - that is perhaps how much emphasis goes on computers as opposed
to sports equipment for example.
BOTs decide what equipment should be bought with the money from the operations grants- but there are
always more things a school wants than they get money from the GOVT and so fundraising is used for more equipment.
BOT´Â ¼±»ý°ú ±³ÀåÀ» ´ë½ÅÇÏ¿©, Çб³ÀÇ ¼±»ýÀ» ¸ðÁýÇÏ°í ¸é´ãµµ ÇÏ´Â ÀÏÀ» Çϸç, Çб³ÀÇ °Ç¹°(½ÅÃà, À¯Áö°ü¸®µî)µî¿¡ ´ëÇØ¼µµ Ã¥ÀÓÀ» Áö°ÔµÈ´Ù.

BOT´Â ¶ÇÇÑ Á¤ºÎ¿¡¼ Á¤ÇÑ ±³À°Àϼö¹× ±³À°½Ã°£ÀÌ Àß ÀÌÇàµÇ´Â ÁöÀÇ Áؼö¿©ºÎ¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿©µµ °ü°è¸¦ ÇÑ´Ù.
BOTs are the employers of the Headmaster and the teachers. They advertise positions and interview and appoint teachers.
They are in charge of the maintenace of buildings etc. The funding for this comes out of the operational grant, but it is never enough so that is
why schools fundraise to get more funds.
BOTs also must comply with the law with respect to the number of days the school is open per year and hours per day are what the GOVt
sasys they should be.
BOT´Â Çб³ÀÇ ±³À°¸ñÇ¥, ¼³¸³¸ñÀûµîÀÌ ´ã°ÜÁ® ÀÖ´Â Çб³ÀÇ ¹æÄ§À» °ËÅäÇÏ¿©¾ß ÇÑ´Ù. ¸¹Àº ºÎºÐµéÀÌ Á¤ºÎ·ÎºÎÅÍ ÀÌ¹Ì ³»·Á¿Â »çÇ×ÀÌÁö¸¸ ÀϺκÐÀº Çб³¿Í Áö¿ª»çȸÀÇ ¿ä±¸¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ¼öÁ¤µÉ ¼ö ÀÖ°Ô µÈ´Ù.

They must write and review Charters ( they are documants which state the schools aims, purposes and objectives). Much of the Charter is set
down by GOVT but some aspects are open for a community to decide the emphasis they want their school to be having (i.e. religious
instruction etc). Parents must be consulted about the charter changes and the Charter should reflect the cultural diversity of the community the
school supports (ie, Korean language classes if a high number of Korean families attending the school etc)
